CamWatch

Privacy policy

The short version: CamWatch doesn't collect anything about you. Your cameras, your passwords and your video stay between your device and your NVR.

Last updated 6 November 2026. CamWatch is made by Gruffpuppy.com.au in Australia.

What the app collects

Nothing. CamWatch has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never receive your video, your camera details or anything about how you use the app.

What the app stores on your device

  • Your NVR's address, your username and your camera list, saved in the app's settings on your device.
  • Your NVR password, saved in your device's secure keychain.
  • How many free tries you've used, and whether you've unlocked CamWatch.

Deleting CamWatch removes your NVR address, username and camera list. Your free-try count is kept in your device's keychain, so it carries over if you delete and reinstall CamWatch. Your NVR password is in the keychain too, so it may also stay there.

Who the app talks to

CamWatch connects only to the NVR or cameras you add. Video goes directly from your NVR to your device and is never sent anywhere else. If you use Tailscale to watch your cameras remotely, that connection is provided by Tailscale under its own privacy policy.

Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We don't see your payment details, and Apple tells us nothing about who you are.
